IRENE GASSON

Irene Gasson, 95, of Adrian, formerly of England, died Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at Provincial House.  She was born July 12, 1912, in London, England, to William and Minnie (Fisher) Wright.  She married William David Gasson on July 17, 1937, in London, England.  He preceded her in death on October 16, 1973.  

Irene had been employed at Hector MacDonald’s Limited in London, England.  She had lived in England most of her life, moving to the United States in 1998.

Irene is survived by a son, David Gasson and his wife, Jackie, of Adrian; four grandchildren, Samantha Stirrup and her husband, Scott, of Rougmont, North Carolina, Katie Conley and her husband, Ted, of Canton, Michigan, Matthew Gasson and his wife, Lara, of Mebane, North Carolina, and Daniel Gasson and his wife, Cristin, of Onsted; and 11 great-grandchildren.  In addition to her husband, Will, she was preceded in death by her parents.

At Irene’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no public services.  Memorial contributions may be made to Lenawee County Department on Aging.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Anderson Funeral Home.
