Take out pages one and two and rip page three in half. There are lots of changes to be made to Tecumseh High School's record book. This was the final season for two of the finest all-around softball players Tecumseh has ever seen with shortstop Jackie Barley and catcher Stayci Cook altering the book beyond recognition.
Between the years of 2005 and 2008 the Indians went 142-25 overall, scoring an astonishing 1117 runs against their opponents while giving up just a hand full at 217. Barley scored 187 of the Indians' runs and owns the record of 55 in one season. For a career average, Barley sits atop all others before her at .477, with the highest ever season average being Barley's at .522 set in 2007. The only way to record those kinds of numbers is to step to the plate and produce. She also owns the At-bat record with 161.
In all, Barley owns 13 records on the all-time hitters list (1992 to present) and is tied for yet another.
Cook is the other record book-altering player with her name listed on top of five school records. She's the all-time leading RBI producer with 59 recorded during her four-year career.
The pitching numbers remained basically the same except in one completely new listing, that of a perfect game. Catie Kaliszuk is the lone representative in the category with her perfection in the circle recorded for the first time ever this season.
