Lovin' My Art Affair

Last night I attended the CIS of Tecumseh Art Affair at the Tecumseh Country Club. It was my first time at the club, which I enjoyed very much. The art exhibit was wonderful. In fact, the whole idea of auctioning art is a great way to show Tecumseh's growing focus on the arts. 

The event benefited CIS of Tecumseh and, of course, the community's children who reap the rewards through the programs that CIS initiates between the schools and the business community. I appreciated the fact that the ballot boxes were decorated by Tecumseh students. They did a great job!!!

This morning I was surprised to find a piece of art at my desk. I won the piece "Organized Chaos" by Jean Lash. I love the piece and am delighted to have it because I've written a feature on Jean Lash. It's been a long time since that feature. She may not remember, but I'm excited to have the piece and to add it to my collection of original art works that are all over my house.
