Evelyn Mildred Hoffman, 92, of Adrian, died Monday, May 12, 2008, at Lenawee Medical Care Facility under the care of Hospice of Lenawee.   She was born March 6, 1916, in Detroit to Forrest Allen and Cordelia (Meldrum) Butler.  On October 31, 1936, she married Richard K. Hoffman in Angola, IN.  He preceded her in death on February 25, 1998.  

Evelyn was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Adrian and the Family and Community Education Club of Michigan.

Her survivors include three sons, William Hoffman and his wife, Luann, of Grandville, Brian Hoffman of Adrian and Mark Hoffman of Onsted; three daughters, Carol Daisher and her husband, Philip, of Adrian, Marjorie Gentner and her husband, William, of Ann Arbor, and Lana Jett and her husband, Robert, of Brooklyn, MI; three brothers, Tom Butler of Bradenton, FL, Harold Butler of Palmyra, and Fred Butler of Blissfield; two sisters, Viola Sisk of Claremont, CA, and Irene DeBruin of Dundee, MI; 14 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son Robert, in infancy; five brothers and two sisters.

Funeral Services for Evelyn will be held Friday, May 16, 2008, at 1 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian with the Reverend Peter Mackey officiating.
