There is a lot riding on next week’s meeting of the Lenawee County Board of Commissioners, when a vote is expected on the proposal to purchase the former Tecumseh Products property for development of a sports and community events complex.

I cannot believe one of the school board trustees thought it was ridiculous to wear masks to prevent the spread of COVID-19. It seems one of the most important things for school board members to do is to protect children and staff.

The Adrian Area Chamber and Tecumseh Area Chamber in partnership are announcing our support of Lenawee County’s Project Phoenix. Project Phoenix, a public/private partnership will bring brownfield investment to the old Tecumseh Products site.

The Lenawee County Democratic Party passed a resolution last week demanding that the Lenawee County Health Department do its sworn duty, adhere to the science, and mandate mask usage and all other currently recommended risk mitigation strategies in local school districts, per the recommendations
