BRITTON — Britton Deerfield’s varsity football team’s overall season record fell to 0-5 with a 41-0 loss against visiting Summerfield on Friday, Sept. 23.
The Bulldogs accumulated 433 yards of total offense to the Patriots’ 205 yards.

A completed pass to the end zone on a fourth down in overtime gave Morenci High School’s varsity football team the first regular-season victory against Clinton since it lost to Sand Creek on October 21, 2011.

Only one goal was scored in a defensive varsity boys soccer battle at Tecumseh on Thursday, Sept. 15 with the Indians sending the ball through Chelsea’s sticks on a penalty kick in the first half and then featuring a great defensive effort for the rest of the contest to secure the win.

CLINTON — On Thursday, Sept. 8, Clinton’s varsity volleyball team began Tri-County Conference play against Summerfield in a double header, best 3-of-5 matches.
The Redskins won the first match in four sets (25-22, 25-13, 23-25, 25-12).
