Jordyn Wright broke her team’s record in pole vault to help lead the Tecumseh girls to first place in the Crestwood Charger Invitational on Saturday in Dearborn Heights.
Wright’s first-place pole vault was 11 feet, 4 inches — 2 feet, 4 inches higher than the rest of the field.

ADRIAN — The air was cold, but that didn’t stop Tecumseh from heating up in enough innings to blow past Adrian in a doubleheader sweep Tuesday on the road.
Tecumseh won 9-2 and 14-3 in five innings to clinch the season series and remain undefeated in the rivalry in this decade.

Before Madalyn Freitas exploded onto the high school scene, she entered the sport with a whimper.
Freitas was four years old and tearful on the sideline while her first competitive match neared halftime and she had yet to play. She had trepidation instead of her trademark tenacity.
