Albert R. Comfort

Albert R. Comfort age 86, of Tecumseh, passed away March 5, 2023. He was born June 13, 1936 in Raisin Township, Mich., the son of Russell Albert and Nova Nada (Arnold) Comfort.

Al was a graduate of Tecumseh High School, Class of 1954. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Al was a certified, licensed electrician and was retired from Dundee Cement Company, where he was employed as an electrician for 35 years. Al enjoyed working on his cars, dancing, and watching football. He loved his family and will be dearly missed by them.

Al is survived by four daughters, Rebecca Comfort of Tecumseh; Vickie (Brian) Render of Tipton; Debbie Winzeler of Tecumseh; and Nancy (Atticus) Sumner of Tennessee; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Norma Jean Campbell and Marian Irene Neff; and brother; Paul Arnold Comfort.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 10 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh, with Chaplain Mark Loudermilk of ProMedica Hospice officiating. Visitation will be Friday, March 10, from 11 a.m.-1  p.m. until the time of service at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh. Military Honors conducted by the Tecumseh American Legion #34 and the Tecumseh V.F.W #4187. Final resting place will be at Raisin Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the family to use according to Al’s wishes.
