Amanda M. Hartley

Amanda M. Hartley, age 44, of Tecumseh, completed her journey here on Earth and returned home to her Lord on Monday, May 9, 2022.

She was born on December 21, 1977, in Ypsilanti, Mich. to Fredrick B. and Evelyn M. (Mason) Olsen. Amanda married Joel Hartley on May 19, 2018, in Ann Arbor, Mich. and he survives. She attended Washtenaw Community College and then Cleary University, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree. She was employed in purchasing for the University of Michigan. Amanda was a member of the Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ann Arbor, Mich. and enjoyed pool days in the sun and the beach, crafting, painting, bowling, softball and volleyball. 

 
In addition to her husband Joel, Amanda is survived by her children, Natalie Hoeft, Brandon Hoeft and Drew Hoeft, all of Tecumseh; two sisters, Rebecca (Tracey) Sheats of Manchester and Cara Olsen of Tecumseh; two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law who she gained in marriage to Joel; and several nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents, Harold and Imogene Mason, and Donald and Marie Olsen; and an uncle, Doug Olsen.

Visitation for Amanda will be at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Tecumseh Chapel from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, May 13, 2022. Funeral services for Amanda will be held on Saturday, May 14, starting at 11 a.m. at the Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, located at 7474 Scio Church Rd, Ann Arbor, Mich. with Pastor Paul Jansen officiating. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the start of the service. Burial will follow immediately in the Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery.
