Arthur Elliott Erickson

Arthur Elliott Erickson, age 66, of Manitou Beach, Mich. passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born October 3, 1955 in Augusta, Ga., a son of the late Hubert Arthur and Anne Leota (Elliott) Erickson. Arthur graduated from Clinton High School in 1973 and then went on to receive his Bachelors of Science in business from the University of Phoenix. On July 29, 1977 he married Betty Ann Loomis and they have shared over 44 years together. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting guns and riding motorcycles.

Along with his wife, Betty, Arthur is survived by his daughter, Julie (Esaw Randell) Erickson of Hudson, Mich.; a brother, Philip (Cindy) Erickson of Chelsea, Mich.; six grandchildren, Christian and Aiden Wheeler, Brianna and Micah Randell and Myia (Kristial) Spahr and Shequille (Terri) Sheffield; and six great-grandchildren, Ashtyn Coleman, Hazel and Hollynn Wheeler and Lizzie and Rita Spahr and Aleeah Sheffield. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, Edward Erickson; a sister, Elizabeth Glasser; and a brother-in-law, Don Glasser.

Visitation for Arthur will be from 1-3 p.m on Saturday, June 11, at the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes. A celebration of life will follow at 3 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lenawee. Online condolences may be offered to the family at handlerfuneralhomes.com.
