Bruce Everett Parrett

Bruce Everett Parrett, age 79, of Jackson, Mich., passed away peacefully on February 12, 2023, after fighting a long illness. He was born in Tecumseh, Mich., on February 7, 1944, to Donald and Norma Jean (Everett) Parrett.

After graduating from Tecumseh High School in 1962, Bruce joined the Air Force and was a mechanic working on B-52s. Bruce loved old cars, especially Lincolns having owned several vintage cars. He loved to tinker and invent things, especially if it was mechanical. He loved going out in boats and having family fun. His family will keep a warm spot in their hearts and will miss him always.

Bruce is survived by his beloved sisters, Donna Jean (Parrett) Meserevy, Margie (Parrett) Johnson, and Mary Parrett; brother-in-law, Dan Uldricks of Texas; one niece, Beth (Kirkby) Kiselak; one nephew, Todd Kirkby; great-nieces, Alexa Randolph, Hunter Randolph, and Macie Kirkby; great-nephews, Max Kirkby and Mitch Kirkby, all living in Tecumseh; and cousins, Gerald Eaton, Geraldine Eaton, Meryl Eaton, Judy Eaton, and Larry Eaton.

At his request cremation has taken place and a memorial service to honor the life of Bruce Parrett will be held at the Westminster United Presbyterian Church, 2301 Ridgeway Road, Jackson, Mich., on Friday, Feb. 24, at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Karen Kelly officiating.

A memorial visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Immediately following the service, the interment will take place at Brookside Cemetery in Tecumseh.
