Carl A. Habrick

Carl Albert Habrick, age 81 of Clinton passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Lynwood Manor in Adrian. He was born September 16, 1942 in Monroe the son of the late Felix W. and Julia M. (Blevins) Habrick.  On October 3, 1982 in Clinton, he married Maryann Ruth Proctor and they shared 37 years together until her passing on December 3, 2019.

Carl was a professional photographer and a member of the Professional Photographers of America. He took pictures of so many people over the years doing senior pictures, weddings, sporting events and team photos.  Carl was a member of United Methodist Church and president of the administration board at the church. He was a member of the Clinton Village Council for over 40 years, Clinton Rotary, Fall Festival Committee and a past president of the Chamber of Commerce. Carl and Maryann loved to collect Coca Cola memorabilia.

Carl is survived by his children, Janet (Bernard) Morgan of Detroit, Virginia (Michael) Krauss of Clinton, and Richard (Amy) Hilderley of Bronson; six grandchildren, Salena (Baron Calloway) Tabor of Clinton, Spencer (Sarah) Krauss, of Farmington Hills, Taylor (Ryan Bellinger) Krauss of Ashland City, Tenn., Marlena (Austin Ruby) Hilderley of Philadelphia, Penn., Madison (Austin) Hostetler of Bronson, and Melanie (Landon) Pelham of Norton Shores; and six great-grandchildren, Fiona and Stella Tabor, Julian Krauss, Atticus Bellinger, Laney Pelham and Claire Krauss. Besides his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Habrick and Patricia Jackson.

Visitation for Carl will be from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. on Monday, April 1, at the Clinton United Methodist Church. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Rev. Dr. William M. Clemmer officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Clinton United Methodist Church and Hospice of Lenawee.
