Carolyn J. Greenfield-Grant

Carolyn Joan Greenfield-Grant, age 96 of Tipton, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024 at Lenawee Medical Care Facility in Adrian. She was born August 18, 1927 in Tecumseh, the daughter of the late Chester D. and Dorothy (Daniels) Baker.

Carolyn was a lifetime member of the Clinton United Church of Christ, a member of the Eastern Star and the Red Hat Society. She worked for 10 years as a secretary at the LISD. Carolyn loved to draw, but most important to her was keeping up with her grandchildren’s activities.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, James Grant; daughter, Cheryl (John Nugent) Greenfield; brother, Bruce Baker of Cadillac; two grandchildren, Molly (Steven) Skawski of St. Louis, Mo. and Travis (Casey Powers) Greenfield of Austin, Texas; and one great-granddaughter, Margot Skawski. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Greenfield, in 1981; two sons, Robert D. and Chester Greenfield; and her sister, Shirley Cannon.

Visitation for Carolyn was from 12- 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2024 at the Clinton United Church of Christ.  Funeral services followed at 2 p.m. with Pastor Diane White officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery in Clinton. Memorial contributions may be made to Clinton United Church of Christ and Hospice of Lenawee.  Arrangements are under the care of the Clinton Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes.
