Charles “Chuck” McLoughlin, age 85, of Tecumseh, passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2021, at his home. He was born on May 28, 1936, to Edward and Florence (Piotter) McLoughlin. Born in Adrian, he attended Adrian schools and graduated from Adrian High School in 1954. On June 25, 1955, he married the love of his life, Joyce LaGore, the daughter of John and Blanche. They were married 66 years. Chuck had been employed with Kroger and then the Adrian Daily Telegram for 13 years. For most of his career, Chuck had been employed with the Lenawee County Sheriff’s Department. He was one of the first officers in the department’s Motorcycle Unit and served as a Defensive Driving Instructor. He was promoted to corporal in 1978 and sergeant in 1989. He retired after 25 years of service. Chuck was a member of the United Methodist Church for over 50 years where he served as an usher. He was a MHSAA official for basketball and football and enjoyed coaching baseball. His love for sports led him to the University of Michigan football games where he was a portal captain and usher. He enjoyed carpentry — taking great pride in building his own home, and golfing, fishing, playing cards with family and friends, gardening, and most importantly, spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, Joyce, Chuck is survived by his sons, David (Debra) McLoughlin of Shepherd, Mich., and Mark (Janet) McLoughlin of Troy; daughters, Lori (Bill) Little of Morrow, Ohio and Lisa (Fred) McDonald of Mt.
