David James Campbell

David James Campbell, 78, of Blissfield died Sunday, May 30, 2021.

He was born April 8, 1943, in Highland, Mich., he was the son of David Murray and Mildred (Kalvoda) Campbell.

David retired from B. Braun BioTech, San Diego, Calif. in 2005 following a career as a Service Engineer in the biotech industry in California and the automotive industry in Detroit. He enjoyed traveling throughout his career, which took him from coast to coast.

Following his retirement, he enjoyed trips traveling the western states with his wife Karen in their motorhome, and many international trips with his son, Kelly. David’s faithful companion, Watson, a black Labrador Retriever, was at his side for the past six years, taking many trips together and enjoying daily walks in the neighborhood.

In addition to his wife, Karen, David is survived by his sons, Kelly David Campbell (Chelsey Holland) of Playa del Rey, Calif., and T.J. Hunt and his wife, Amber; three grandchildren, Violet, Nathan, and Nolan Hunt, all of Sand Creek; sister, Marilyn (Alan) Wuerful of Traverse City; brothers-in-law, Richard (Judee) Graf and Marc Graf (Nancy Cadmus), both of Tecumseh; nieces Meghan Graf Halberstadt (Alex), and Kelly Wood of Traverse City; and nephew, Robert Wuerful (LouAnn) of Idaho.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service for David was held on Friday, June 4, at Wagley Funeral Home, Tagsold Chapel, Blissfield with Pastor Jamie Driskill officiating. A memorial gathering was held on Friday and continued until the time of the service.
