Donald A. DeMarco

Donald Arthur DeMarco, age 86 of Tecumseh passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2023 at Trinity Health-St. Joseph Mercy Hospital with his wife by his side. He was born November 22, 1936 in Ann Arbor, the son of George and Dorothy (Bursha) DeMarco.

Donald proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines during the Korean and Vietnam wars, putting to use his skill and love of airplane mechanics. After retiring from many years of work at the University of Michigan in Information Technology, he enjoyed spending time with his family, working on projects around his house, and flying the airplane that he built himself.

On February 6, 1959, Donald married the love of his life, Carole Elaine Charron, who he spent every day alongside for nearly 65 years. Besides his wife, Carole, Donald is survived by his son, Tim DeMarco of Adrian; two grandchildren, Jason (Jennifer) Hintz of Wiggins, Miss.; and Kristine (Phil) Bradley of Ypsilanti; three great-grandchildren, Kamdyn Hintz, Theodore and Lenora Bradley. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Judy Hintz and sister, Donna Cordway.

Graveside services for Donald will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 6, 2023 in Brookside Cemetery in Tecumseh with military honors under the auspices of the Tecumseh American Legion Post #34 and VFW Post #4187.
