Ernest Wayne Oliver

Ernest Wayne Oliver, age 65, of Britton, Mich. passed away on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on April 14, 1957, a son of Imo (Weasel) Oliver of Ypsilanti, Mich. and the late Ernest Oliver.

Ernest enjoyed many things through his life and in his younger days loved playing hockey and was a huge Red Wings fan, but he also enjoyed painting, fishing, golfing, shooting guns, going to the lake, and making his famous nachos.

He is survived by his daughters, Amber Oliver of Nashville, Tenn. and Corinn Mendes of Tecumseh, Mich.; two brothers, Mike Oliver of Ypsilanti and Tracey Oliver of Jacksonville, Fla.; and two nephews, Todd and Ben Oliver.

A memorial gathering will be held for Ernest on Thursday, Sept. 29 from 5-8 p.m. at the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes. A Memorial Mass will be held at 12 p.m. on Friday at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Tecumseh with Fr. Daniel Wheeler as celebrant.
