Eunice Mary Ann Nikolich

Eunice Mary Ann Nikolich, age 60, of Clinton passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2021 at Karmanos Hospital in Detroit. She was born February 9, 1961 in Oshkosh, Wis., the daughter of Duane and Eunice Joan (Heller) Wegehaupt.

Known for her smile and positivity, Mary Ann touched countless people with her kindness. She was a member of the Tecumseh United Methodist Church, where she was the secretary for over 25 years. Her heart was always with others, providing help whenever she saw a need. She especially loved volunteering with the Fresh Food Initiative at the church. In her spare time, Mary Ann loved crafting, particularly crocheting. People often joked that she could solve any problem in the world with yarn and a crochet hook. She frequently crocheted scarves and blankets to donate to others in need. She also loved to read and spend time with her family, especially her daughters and grandchildren. Most of all, she loved to laugh. She found the good in everything and was well known for her good-natured sense of humor. If Jesus assigns jobs to those in heaven, He is surely using her natural gift of making others smile.

Mary Ann is survived by her mother, Joan Wegehaupt of Westland; daughters, Sarah (Jim) Krizan of Allen Park and Patty Nikolich of Scotts; siblings, Andy Wegehaupt of Canton, Mike (Dawn) Wegehaupt of Westland, Patti (Rick) Kucera of Wolverine Lake and Lisa Wegehaupt of Plymouth; and grandchildren, Joey and Ellie Krizan of Allen Park. She was preceded in death by her father, Duane.

Visitation for Mary Ann will be from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 1, at the Tecumseh United Methodist Church. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Mark Miller officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tecumseh Fresh Food Initiative in care of the Tecumseh United Methodist Church, 605 Bishop Reed Dr., Tecumseh, MI 49286.  Arrangements are under the care of the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes. Online condolences may be offered to the family at handlerfuneralhomes.com.
