Howard Williams Truesdale II

Howard Williams Truesdale II, age 78, of Tecumseh, Mich. passed away on January 29, 2022.

Howard “Bill” was born December 2, 1943 in Detroit, Mich. the son of Howard and Ethel (Parr) Truesdale. 

He attended and graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1962. In October 1965, he entered the United States Army, serving our country during the Vietnam War until June 1971. On his return after serving our country he attended barber school. After barber school he opened his own shop in Tecumseh called Bill’s Barber Shop until 2015. In Bill’s spare time he loved to feed and watch birds, had a love for animals, and painted miniature civil war soldiers. He had a love for the Upper Peninsula and he was a former member of the Hiawatha Sportsman Club, in Engadine, Mich.

Bill is survived by his sister, Judith Wittrup; nieces, nephews and very special friends, Rainey (Cheryl) Lopez and also children with the extended Lopez families of  Ridgeway mourning his loss. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Ethel; and brother-in-law, Larry Wittrup.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 7 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh, with special friend Pastor Isabel Lopez officiating. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, Tecumseh. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. Monday until time of services.

Memorial contributions may be made to the ProMedica Hospice.

Bill’s family and friends would like to thank his doctors, nurses and the entire staff of Heartland/ProMedica Hospice of Ann Arbor for all their love and care.
