Jeannine M. Wikle

Jeannine Marie Wikle, age 87, of Tecumseh, Mich. passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023 at the Hospice of Lenawee Home in Adrian, Mich. She was born on June 6, 1936 in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Kenneth Sylvester Sr. and Marcine Mildred (Smith) Vallieu. Jeannine was a registered nurse, graduate of Bronson School of Nursing in Kalamazoo, Mich. She enjoyed quilting, needle work, reading and was an employee of the Tecumseh Public Library for a number of years. Jeannine also volunteered at the Historic Room at the library.  She was very supportive of her husband Jack and his passion for growing bonsai.

Along with her husband Jack, Jeannine is survived by two children, Lynne (John) Warner of Midland, Mich. and a son, David (Elizabeth) Wikle of Easley, S.C.; a sister-in-law, Barbara Vallieu of Tecumseh; and five grandchildren, Elisabeth Warner, David Warner, Benedict Wikle, Augustine Wikle and Maria Wikle. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Vallieu Jr.

A celebration of life will take place for Jeannine on Monday, December 4, 11 a.m. at the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes, followed by lunch at the Tecumseh United Methodist Church.
