Jeffrey D. Hawkins

Jeffrey “Hawk” Douglas Hawkins, age 55, of Tecumseh, Mich. passed away Monday, March 4, 2024. He was born on October 1, 1968 in Tecumseh, the son of Richard Lloyd and Paula Marie (Mueller) Hawkins.

Jeff drove a boom truck for many years before starting his own landscape company. He took pride in all of his work, especially his landscaping. In his free time, Jeff loved riding his Harley and going hunting. He was a huge dog lover, devoted friend to many, loved his children dearly, and was a fierce protector of anyone he cared about.

Jeff is survived by his parents, Richard (Lisa) Hawkins of Coolidge, Ariz, and Paula (Buster Richardson) Mueller of Tecumseh, Mich.; children, Jenavieve Hawkins of Adrian, Mich., and Logan Hawkins of Britton, Mich.; sister, Jeni (Shane) LaGore of Adrian, Mich.; brother, Michael; a nephew, several nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Lloyd and Virginia Hawkins, Walt and Pauline Mueller, Joe Gregory and uncles, Nate Hawkins and Chuck Mueller.

Memorial visitation for Jeff will be from 3-4 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, at The Point Church in Tecumseh, Mich. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at 4 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Tecumseh VFW Post #4187. Arrangements are under the care of the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes.
