Jeffrey L. Stewlow

Jeffrey Lee Stewlow, 57, of Clinton, Mich., lost his battle with ALS on March 10, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Jeff was born on February 1, 1967 in Tecumseh, Mich. to the late Harold Leslie Stewlow and Barbara Jean (Steele) Stewlow, she survives.

On June 16, 1990, he married his loving wife, Lori (Bailey) Stewlow.  March 23 would have been 41 years since they became high school sweethearts. Jeff graduated from Britton Macon School in 1985. He worked for Mark Maschino Construction before moving on to Tecumseh Plywood. In 2001 he became a full time stay at home dad for their son Mason. In 2006 he became co-owner of Bailey’s Watercare in Tecumseh, and was active until the disease disabled him from physically being there. His mind was always very sharp and he continued to be there for his employees mentally as much as he could. Jeff enjoyed spending time with his family, always working on projects and entertaining friends and family at their home. He was 100% dedicated to his family and made sure he accomplished everything he put his mind to. He impacted the lives of so many people. ALS took him way too soon, as he had so much more to give. Jeff was a regular attendee of the Britton Grace United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Harold Leslie Stewlow; grandparents, Lavern and Thelma Steele; brother, David Stewlow; and uncle, Keith Steele.

He is survived by his wife, Lori (Bailey) Stewlow; son, Mason (Brooklyn) Stewlow; mother, Barbara Jean (Steele) Derryberry; brother, Rick (Julie) Stewlow; sister, Lori (Stewlow) McDowell; mother and father-in-law, Willliam and Judith Bailey; brother-in-law, Steve (Michelle Iacoangeli) Bailey; cousins, nephews and a very dear young lady, Katelyn Beard.

Memorial contributions may be made to ALS of Michigan, 24359 Northwestern Hwy #100, Southfield, MI 48075 or Britton Grace United Methodist Church, 9250 E. Monroe Rd., Britton, MI 49229.

A celebration of life will be planned at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes.  Online condolences may be offered to the family at handlerfuneralhomes.com.
