Jim Lerma

Jim Lerma of Tecumseh, Mich. lost his courageous battle with colon cancer at his home on May 23, 2022 with his loving wife Jane and cherished family friend, Amber, at his side under the direction of Hospice of Lenawee. Jim was a great warrior during the last 14 months of his life, always maintained a positive attitude, and never gave up the fight. Jim and his wife purchased one of Tecumseh’s historic downtown buildings, opening The Bead Box Rocks & Gemstone Gift Shop and Vintage Boulevard Suite Lodging. Besides co-managing their small businesses, Jim was a member of the Livingston Gem and Mineral Society and attended Grace Point Evangelical Free Church in Adrian.  He loved golfing with his good friend Herm and others, riding his Harley, cruising in his red corvette, vintage cars, traveling to warm weather states, spending quality time with his son Tony and Tony’s mom Kristy and step son David. He also cherished reconnecting with his adult daughters, Lisa and Melinda.  Jim and his wife enjoyed many years of vacationing with their good friends, Randy and Amber, at their timeshare in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.

Jim and his wife Jane want to thank their good friends, Sherry and Norm Peterson of Tecumseh, for taking over the care of their special needs son David and their business during the past 14 months, you have been a great blessing during this very difficult time.
