Joanne Marie Rebottaro

Joanne Marie Rebottaro, age 85 of Tecumseh died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021 at Hospice of Lenawee Home with her family surrounding her. She was born September 18, 1936 in Berkey, Ohio, the daughter of the late Russell Eugene and Alta Mae (Cochran) Ford. On July 25, 1959 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, she married Anthony Charles “Tony” Rebottaro, and they shared 61 years together before his death on August 26, 2020.

Joanne worked at the Tecumseh Products and retired as the assessor in Raisin Townshipe. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Tecumseh and their CCW. She was active in the Tecumseh Service Club and had been a 4-H leader. She loved shopping, gambling and playing cards. Joanne loved being with her family and creating memories.

Joanne is survived by her children, Tony (Bonita) Rebottaro of Britton, Diane Rebottaro of Tecumseh, Shirley (Jim) Houle of Tecumseh and Andy (Cari) Rebottaro of Tecumseh; four grandchildren, Nicki (Carvin) Nash of Rockford, Mich., Tino (Jessica) Rebottaro of Adrian, Joey Rebottaro of Southgate, Ky., and Jillian Rebottaro of Tecumseh; four great-grandchildren, Nora, Nya, Navy and Jackson. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Rebottaro-Lane, son-in-law, Jeffrey Lane and granddaughter, Megan Rebottaro.

Visitation for Joanne was held on Tuesday, Nov. 23, from 3-8 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Tecumseh, with a vigil prayer service at 7 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the church with Fr. Daniel Wheeler as celebrant with visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the mass. Burial was at Brookside Cemetery in Tecumseh. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lenawee and the Tecumseh Service Club. Arrangements are under the care of the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes.
