John Michael Francisco

John Michael Francisco was born April 30, 1964 and passed away on January 11, 2022 after complications from a routine surgery.

Mike was a 1982 graduate of Tecumseh High School where he excelled at football and baseball. While in high school, Mike worked at Easton’s Gas Station in Tecumseh which birthed his craft of auto mechanics as he would later become a certified auto mechanic. Mike was most comfortable working with tools, whether it was in a barn as a farrier or in a garage repairing cars and snowmobiles. He was also a certified welder.

Some of Mike’s hobbies included hunting, fishing, and honoring his West Virginia roots. He enjoyed being around horses and caring for his Blue Heeler dogs. Later in his life, Mike began his own business repairing snowmobiles and was an accomplished snowmobile racer.

Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Duane and Charlotte Francisco, of Tecumseh, and both his maternal and paternal grandparents. He is survived by his brothers, David (Kathy) Francisco, Kipp Lane, and Matt (Laurie) Francisco; sister, Dana (Chris) Hosman; son, John Michael Francisco II; and numerous friends and family members including his cousin, Brad (Cathy) Lucas.

A celebration of life is planned for February 12, 2022 at the Brooklyn American Legion from 12-3 p.m. Friends and family are encouraged to stop in at any time to share stories and refreshments.
