Joyce Louise Salters

Joyce Louise Salters, age 82 of Adrian, Mich. passed away October 31, 2022, surrounded by her family. Joyce was born March 5, 1940, in Tawas City, Mich. to Leo and Mary Wellna. Joyce married Paul on January 10, 1959, in Tawas City. Joyce loved spending time with her children and many grandchildren. She was an active member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Tecumseh, Mich. She retired from Lenawee Department of Aging, where she cooked for the Meals on Wheels program.

In addition to her husband, Joyce is survived by her sons, Bryon (Ann) Salters, Brooklyn, Mich.; Kevin (Kathy) Salters, Blissfield, Mich.; daughters, Kimberley (Mark) Vanderpool, Sterling Heights, Mich.; Cheryl (Craig) Brown, Brooklyn, Mich.; 11 favorite grandchildren, Tyrel, Steven, Lindsay, Garrett, Stephanie, Ashleigh, Tiffany, Marcus, Cole, Cj, Cassandra, and eight great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters, Dorothy (Larry) Anschuetz and Geraldine Cooper. Preceding her in death are her parents; daughter, Julie Ann Salters; sister, Mary Ellen Allen; and a brother, Chuck Wellna.

Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 4 at 11 a.m. with Mass at noon at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Tecumseh. Officiating will be Fr. Mike Newman. Burial to follow at Brookside Cemetery, Tecumseh. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Lenawee Medical or St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. Envelopes will be available at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church.
