Judith “Judy” Ann Jacuk

Judith “Judy” Ann Jacuk, age 64 of Tecumseh, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at Spring Creek Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Adrian. She was born February 16, 1959 to Ted and Theresa Jacuk in Detroit, Mich.

Judy worked as a Home Healthcare Assistant for many years. She truly enjoyed caring for people and the fulfillment it gave her. Judy was an avid animal lover. She even worked at a cow farm in the Tecumseh area milking cows and loved each of the daily responsibilities that took place on a farm. Judy loved working and caring for animals. All the while, learning as much as she could about animals and all work that went into caring for one of God’s greatest creations. Judy’s favorite companion was Tabby her cat. Tabby was with Judy, in good times and not so good of times. Tabby gave Judy an inner peace, that animals can give us.

Whenever Tabby was called into the room and introduced by Judy, so many times a big smile would come across Judy’s face while she talked and talked about her friend and all the wonderful things she loved about Tabby the cat. Judy loved being outdoors taking long hikes and enjoying nature. She was also passionate about the Native American Indian and studied their heritage, collecting various Indian antiques.

A very heartfelt thank you to Spring Creek Rehab and Nursing Center, Gentiva Hospice, and each one of the staff and caregivers that helped in caring for Judy as she journeyed home.

Visitation for Judy will be from 10-11 a.m. on Friday, May 5, at the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. with Tim Smith and Collin Smith officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Clinton. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lenawee County Humane Society. Online condolences may be offered to the family at handlerfuneralhomes.com.
