Karen L. Oswald
It is with much sadness we announce the passing of our mother, Karen Louise Oswald (Pennington). Karen passed away on January 12, 2024 from heart-related complications. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Donald Oswald, and their three daughters and sons-in-law: Mary Norton and son-in-law Dwayne Norton, Suzy Snyder with Mike Snyder, and Donna Oswald with Tim Stephens.
Karen was lovingly raised in Macon, Mich., by her parents LaVerne and Mary Pennington. She was an avid Michigan football fan, voracious reader, and loved being in her gardens.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be a private graveside ceremony for immediate family only. Donations can be made in her honor to the Lenawee County Humane Society.
Mourners are invited to post their memories of Karen at handlerfuneralhomes.com. Arrangements are under the care of the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes.
