Lois R. (Snyder) Brown

Lois Brown, age 80, of Adrian, passed away August 13, 2016, at home under Hospice care of congestive heart and kidney failure. Lois was born December 20, 1935 in Sunshine Station, Harlan, Ky., the daughter of Lloyd and Sarah (Baker) Smith. She was proud to be a coal miner's daughter. In 1982 she married Tom Brown and he preceded her in death. She was a 1955 graduate of Tecumseh High School. Lois was a gifted seamstress, knitter, crocheter, crafter and enjoyed baking for her family. She also took pride in her herb, flower and vegetable gardens. Lois was not a member of any church but she always belonged to the Lord.

Lois is survived by her children,  Arthur Snyder,  Robert (Cheryl) Snyder and Patricia (Jeffrey) Glaser; grandchildren, Nathaniel and AnneMarie Snyder; sisters, Lanna Keeling and Lena Middleton; the father of her children, Harry Snyder and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Tom, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2016 at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh, with Pastor Eric Hickman officiating.

Burial followed in Brookside Cemetery, Tecumseh.

Visitation was from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2016 and one hour preceding the service on Wednesday. 

Her favorite colors were lavender and yellow, but hated black. The family requested that bright  colors be worn.
