Lucille A. Tiede

Lucille Alice Tiede, age 90, of Britton, Mich., passed away March 13, 2024. She was born January 29, 1934 in Tecumseh, Mich., the daughter of Edward and Thilba (Wright) Lawson.

On June 26, 1954, she married Carl G. Tiede. He preceded her in death on January 20, 2021. 

Lucille was a graduate of Tecumseh High School Class of 1953. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Palmyra, Mich. Lucille along with her husband, Carl, enjoyed visiting area polka clubs and polka dancing. Lucille also liked to go camping.

Lucille is survived by her daughter, Beverly (Chuck) Risch; six grandchildren, Nicholas (Holly) Risch, Aaron (Samantha) Risch, Zachary (Tera) Risch, Tyler (Danielle) Risch, Tiffany Lopez, and Cody (Erica Gordon) Tiede; nine great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Jim Lawson, Calvin (Pat) Lawson.

In addition to her husband, Carl, she was preceded in death by her parents, son, Dale G. Tiede, twin sister, Lois Righter, and brother, Robert Lawson.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 21, at Purse Martinez Funeral Home, Tecumseh, with Rev. Rick Hogan of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Palmyra, Mich. officiating.

Interment will follow at Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens, Tecumseh. Visitation will also take place on Thursday, March 21, from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at Purse Martinez Funeral Home, Tecumseh.
