Michael F. Bartenslager

Michael F. Bartenslager, age 77, of Adrian, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2023, at Gaslight Village.  He was born October 12, 1945, in Port Orchard, Wash. to Joseph and Catherine (Noggle) Bartenslager. Mike married Janice Gayle Richardson on November 5, 1966, in Britton, Mich. and she survives. He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1963 to 1966. Mike worked as an electrician with Ford Motor Company until his retirement in September of 2005. He was a member of the Adrian First Church of the Nazarene and a VFW member in Harrison, Mich. prior to moving back to the Adrian area. Mike enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and taking care of his property in Harrison.

In addition to his wife, Gayle, Mike is survived by two sons, Tim (Stephanie) Bartenslager of Adrian and Chuck (Tina) Bartenslager of Milan; one daughter, Kelly (Brian) Bacus of Weidman, Mich.; two brothers, William (Valerie) Bartenslager of Tecumseh and James (Ada) Bartenslager of Austin, Texas; one sister, Patricia Kelley of Aberdeen, N.C.; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Joe Bartenslager.  

Visitation for Mike was held on Friday, Jan. 27, 2023, at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Tecumseh Chapel. Funeral services were held on Saturday, Jan. 28, with visitation preceding the service at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Tecumseh Chapel with Pastor Tom Hawkins Jr officiating. Burial was in Brookside Cemetery, Tecumseh with Military Honors.
