Nancy Irene Profitt Northrop
Nancy Irene Profitt Northrop, 82, of Tecumseh died April 17, 2022 at her home with her family by her side with hospice. She was born January 11, 1940 in Monroe, Mich., the daughter of the late Roy and Mabel (Mayes) Profitt. On December 12, 1987 she married Leslie A. Northrop, in Monroe and they shared 35 years together.
Nancy graduated from Monroe High School in 1958. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Monroe. Nancy retired from Monroe Bank and Trust. She loved quilting, gardening, classical and Christian music, wreath making, the color red and her dog, Heidi.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Leslie; her two daughters, Mary Kaye Daniels Recht and Roxanne Daniels; two step-daughters, Kristen Capra and Amy Roelant; a sister, Judith Profitt Young; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A private family graveside service was held in Brookside Cemetery, Tecumseh with Pastor Dennis Mann officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Monroe. Arrangements are under the care of the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes. Condolences may be made to the family at handlerfuneralhomes.com.
