Poetry: An Outlet for Life Experiences

Through her poetry, local author Brooke Borton candidly addresses her struggles with bipolar disorder, suicidal ideation and guilt. In "Mutter," her most recent collection of poetry, she reveals some of her most painful and darkest moments in her life, including the heart-wrenching remorse of having an abortion and the agonizing death of an infant son due to a congenital heart defect.
