Reta M. Luce

Reta Marie Luce, age 98, of Tecumseh, passed away August 27, 2023

She was born February 26, 1925, in Ferndale, Mich., the daughter of Leon and Carlola (Hart) Dunbar. On March 2, 1946, she married William J. Luce. He preceded her in death on January 23, 2010.

Reta was a beautician, owning her own salon in Tipton, longtime waitress at Boomers, and a Tecumseh school bus driver. She and Bill were big supporters of the Tecumseh athletics program and loved to travel to Florida.

She is survived by her children, Douglas (Sally) Luce of Umatilla, Fla., Gregory (Charlene) Luce of Palatka, Fla., and Wendy (Mike) Clement of Tecumseh; nine grandchildren, Todd (Angie) Luce, Gina Farr, Erik Luce, Kimberly MacFarland, Jennifer Jones, Derek (Nicole) Johnson, Tiffany (Mark) Norman, Tanner Clement, and Taylor (Bridgette) Clement; 19 great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; and brother, Robert (Naomi) Dunbar of Minnesota.

In addition to her husband William, she was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Luce, two brothers, and two sisters.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial services are being scheduled and will take place at a later date.
