Robert Joseph Noe, age 74, of Tecumseh, passed away on October 20, 2023, at Cambrian in Tecumseh, Mich. surrounded by his loving family under the wonderful care of Cambrian staff and Careline Hospice. Bob was born on January 13, 1949 to Joseph and Florence (Slusarz) Noe in Swanton, Ohio.
Bob worked his way through college as a security guard at Fisher Body, General Motors, in Tecumseh. Although he had an academic scholarship, he knew he needed the extra support to earn his degree for a five-year program in architecture.
Bob graduated from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend Ind., completing his graduate studies in architecture with Notre Dame in Rome, Italy. He was employed with the Collaborative in Toledo, Ohio for many years before establishing his own independent firm. Bob was an avid Formula 1 fan. He attended many European, Canadian and American races. He never lost his affection for Team Lotus, having owned a Lotus and Pantera at one time. He loved sailing, and owned a Tarten Ten and a 1954 wooden Chris-Craft. Bob dearly loved animals, especially his grand-dogs and grand-nephew and niece dogs.
Bob is survived by the mother of his children, Marjorie; daughter, Betsy Noe of Tecumseh; son, David (Stephaney) Noe of Ft. Mitchell, Ky.; three grandsons, Matthew, Charlie and Maddox; a very favored grand-dog, Ditto.; sisters, Gloria Underwood of Tecumseh, and Christine Briggs, (Jeffrey) of Adrian, Mich.; brother, William (Margaret) Noe of Adrian; niece, Mary Elizabeth (Tom) Cooper of Tecumseh; nephews, Duane Underwood of Statesville, N.C., Jason Underwood (Alicia) of Fort Wayne, Ind. Charles (Abigail) Noe of Adrian, Christopher Noe of Adrian; cousin, Deannie (Carl) Buehrer of Swanton, Ohio, and her daughter Lisa (Fred) Vola of Roanoke, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Bernard Noe and Florence Barbara Noe.
Memorial Mass will be Celebrated on Friday, Oct. 27, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held that same morning from 10-11 a.m.
