Robert William Bagdon

Robert William Bagdon, age 90 of Tecumseh, passed away on Friday, July 29, 2022 at ProMedica Charles and Virginia Hickman Hospital. He was born October 19, 1931 in Detroit, the son of the late William John and Ann Marie (Kairunas) Bagdon. On June 30, 1957 he married Martha Vautaw and they shared over 45 years together until she passed on April 2, 2003.

Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force where he learned his trade of printing. He started his own business, Creative Plate and Advertising, in Clinton in the late 1960s, moving it to Tecumseh in 1978. Then, in 1985, he joined with partners to open up Spectrum Printing. After 50 years in the printing industry, he retired in 2001. He enjoyed cooking, traveling, and fishing.

Bob is survived by his children, Lesley Otter, Philip (Debbie) Otter, and Todd (Karen) Bagdon, all of Tecumseh; special companion and dear friend, Barb Cummings; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Besides his parents and his wife, Marty, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Joshua Otter, and sister, Elsie Salafia.

In accordance with Bob’s wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tecumseh American Legion or the Tecumseh VFW Arrangements are under the care of the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes.
