Roland Phillip Dean

Roland Phillip Dean, age 89 of Tecumseh formerly of Crisfield, Md. passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Cambrian Assisted Living. He was born June 9, 1932 in Minneapolis, Minn., the son of the late Paul and Tina (Severson) Dean.

Roland proudly served his country during the Korean War with the U.S. Navy. After years of service he retired as a superintendent in the Hydroelectric Dam industry.

Roland is survived by his daughter, Debbie (Chuck) Greene of Tecumseh, Mich.; son, Dennis Phipps of Havre de Grace, Md.; sister, Patricia Carlson of New Brighton, Minn.; two grandsons, Eric (Kimberly) Greene of Ypsilanti, Mich. and Brian Greene of Chicago, Ill.; and one great granddaughter Hannah Greene of Ypsilanti, Mich.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Delores, sister, Phyllis and a step- daughter, Diane Phipps.

In accordance to Roland’s wishes cremation has taken place.  Inurnment will be in Brookside Cemetery Columbarium in Tecumseh.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Lions Club.  Arrangements are under the care of the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes.
