Sharon R. Van Vliet
Sharon Ruth Van Vliet, age 76, of Tecumseh, passed away October 8, 2023. She was born June 28, 1947, in Garden City, Mich., the daughter of Oliver and Ruth (Drenske) Baldwin.
On November 13, 1965, she married and is survived by her high school sweetheart, Kenneth J. Van Vliet. They lived and raised their family in Dearborn, Mich., moving to Tecumseh in 1991.
Sharon dedicated her life to her family. In addition to her husband Ken, she is survived by two daughters, Dawn (Bob) Freshcorn and Ruth Van Vliet. The pride of her life, six grandchildren, Nicole (Joe) Nurmi, Jacob Knotts, Jennifer (Jacques) Strohschein, Sage Van Vliet, Josh Knotts, and Morgan Knotts; two great-grandsons, Rowan and Dominic Nurmi; brother, Loren Baldwin; and sister, Donna Johnson.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Ray Baldwin and Kenneth Baldwin.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
The family’s preference is no flowers.
