Shirley Hammond
Shirley Hammond passed away December 28, 2022. Shirley was born on October 8, 1936 in Ida, Mich. to John and Myrtie Wobser. She graduated from Ida High School and married David Hammond.
David and Shirley were married for 56 years before David passed on July 28, 2011. They raised three children: Cindi Kresge, Sandra (Doug) Eggleston and Steve (Carolan) Hammond. She also had five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 7, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 9950 Ridge Hwy., Britton, MI, 49229. Visitation will be held from 1-2:30 p.m. with a memorial service beginning at 2:30 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association or Hospice of Lenawee.
