Stanley A. Mieduch

Stanley Aloysious Mieduch, age 99 of Battle Creek, formerly of Clinton, passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Battle Creek VA Medical Center. He was born March 29, 1924 in Detroit, a son of the late Antoni and Mary Mieduch. Stanley married Geraldine Klenczar on July 27, 1946 and they shared 64 years together until her passing on August 24, 2010.

Stanley proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and the Merchant Marines, during his service in World War II he crossed the Atlantic Ocean 8 times. He was a member of the DAV. Stanley owned Pike Inn Bar and Tavern that was located on Tipton Highway and U.S. 12 for 21 years. After that he was an ice cream truck vendor in Clinton until his retirement in 1992. Stanley enjoyed visiting yard sales and had donated 13,000 books to the Ann Arbor VA. Most of all he enjoyed the time he spent with his family.

Stanley is survived by his sons, Daniel (Rhonda) Mieduch of Scottsdale, Ariz. and Michael Mieduch of Clinton; brother, Joseph Mieduch of Flagstaff, Ariz.; two grandchildren, Megan (Travis) Kerr of Woodland Hills, Calif., and Mercedes Mieduch of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and one great-grandchild. Besides his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Mieduch, and a sister, Eleanor Wrona.

Cremation has taken place and a military graveside service at St. Dominic Cemetery in Clinton will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of the Clinton Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes. Online condolences may be offered to the family at handlerfuneralhomes.com.
