Thomas Carson Titus

Thomas Carson Titus, age 80 of Tecumseh passed away on Sunday, Jan. 15, 2023 at the Hospice of Lenawee Home. He was born February 9, 1942 in Piqua, Ohio, a son of the late Raymond Gordon and Elizabeth Margaret (Carson) Titus. Tom married Sandra Sue Yates on July 25, 1964 in Cincinnati, Ohio and they shared 52 years together until her passing on October 31, 2016.

Tom was a police officer with the city of Ann Arbor for a while and retired as a salesman in the industrial valves and fittings industry. He was very active in the Learning Cove in Tecumseh as a tutor. He loved being outside cutting wood in the woods near his home.

Tom is survived by his children, Betsy (Don) Hall of Morenci and Thomas (Cathy) Titus of Centre Hall, Penn.; sister, Katie Couchot of Florida; and two grandchildren, Scott Hall of Morenci and Hope Titus of Centre Hall, Penn. Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Joan DeGroff.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 19 at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Tecumseh with Pastor Richard Mortimer officiating. Inurnment will be in Brookside Cemetery Columbarium in Tecumseh. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lenawee. Arrangements are under the care of the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes. Online condolences may be offered to the family at handlerfuneralhomes.com.
