Walter “Wally” Weir Jamieson

Walter “Wally” Weir Jamieson age 83, of Tecumseh, Mich., formally of Saline, Mich., passed away November 24, 2021 peacefully at ProMedica Provincial House in Adrian, Mich. Walter was born May 17, 1938 to Robert and Evelyn Jamieson, in Detroit, Mich. 

He graduated from Frank Cody High School in Detroit in 1956 and served in the National Guard until 1964. On June 27, 1959 he married the love of his life, Patricia Baccaro, and she survives.

Walter was employed at the University of Michigan as a painter for more than 35 years. He loved to fish and spent many summer days on his boat with family and friends.

In addition to his wife of 62 years, Patricia, Walter is survived by his daughter, Colleen (Michael) Crisovan; grandchildren, Michael II (Brekke), Jonathan (Emily), Cameron Crisovan, David Rehder, Anthony Johnson and Nicholas Jamieson; six great-grandchildren; one niece and five nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Laurie; son, Robert; and brothers, James and Robert Jamieson.

Per Walter’s wishes cremation has taken place and no services will take place due to COVID. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in memory of Walter can be made to Hospice of Lenawee, 1903 Wolf Creek Hwy, Adrian, MI, 49221; Alzheimer’s Association, Michigan Great Lakes Chapter, 564 S Main St., Suite 200, Ann Arbor, MI 48104; or the charity of one’s choice.
