Warren and Sally Manning

On Thursday, July 27, 2023 Warren John Manning, age 80, the Manning family patriarch, passed away suddenly and very unexpectedly at ProMedica Charles and Virginia Hickman Hospital in Adrian. He was born November 20, 1942 in Wyandotte, a son of the late Clinton Elmer and Elizabeth (Singer) Manning. Early in the morning of Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2023 his beloved wife, Sally, age 80, followed him to eternity following a brief illness at Springcreek Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Adrian.

She was born June 30, 1943 in Wyandotte, a daughter of the late Homer Alfonzo and Nora May (Leach) Sanford.

Warren and Sally met during their high school years at Riverview High School in Riverview, Mich. They married August 10, 1963 and had three boys, Craig (wife Jeannine Saylor), Scott (gf Samantha Spraker) and Brett (gf Melissa Vasilofski). They had one granddaughter, Samantha (Brett and Kasia), whom they loved dearly.

Warren was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Pat, and brother, Jim; and survived by one sister, Karen. Sally was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Bill and Tom; and her sisters, Helen, Noreen and Jerry; and survived by one sister, Marilyn. Warren and Sally were also preceded in death by their great nephew, Chad. They are survived by numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Per their wishes, Warren and Sally were both cremated. There will be no formal funeral service. The family will host a celebration of life at a later date.
