Paula Holtz, Tecumseh’s economic development director, said she was pleased with the inaugural year of Movies in the Park, a local event that hosted movies in Adams Park next to Tecumseh City Hall throughout the summer and early fall.
On Tuesday, Nov. 3, voters will be heading to the ballot box. Locally, only those in the City of Tecumseh will be casting their ballot, which will decide three city council seats and an ordinance allowing backyard chickens.
With the fiscal year coming to a close, the Raisin Township Board of Trustees is working on finalizing the 2016 budget for the township. Trustees met twice last week, discussing possible changes to the budget.
The Southern Michigan Railroad Society had fall color tours on Saturday, Oct. 24, where passengers passed through Tecumseh on their way to Clinton. The fall color tourists took a two-hour ride from downtown Tecumseh where they boarded the train.
At 16, many are just on the cusp of getting their driver’s license. For Mathew Chapman, a 16-year-old Tecumseh High School student, driving is a bit more than parallel parking.
Three members of the Raisin Township Board of Trustees met Friday morning to discuss the 2016 township budget during a workshop session. Present were trustees Larry Crittenden, Kami Johnson and Debra Brousseau.
