Sixty years ago, Herb Morden, president of the Tecumseh Products Workers Union, and two other union members decided to start a credit union. Along with 23 other members, they chartered the Tecumseh Products Workers Credit Union, began enrolling members, and took in about $2,000.

Communities in Schools of the Tecumseh Area (CISTA) raised approximately $42,000 during the March Mingle fundraiser, which was held on March 12. There were approximately 280 attendees, with profits from silent and live auctions totaling over $11,500.

Raisin Township supervisor Jay Cavanaugh has sent a letter to township board members that he is resigning from his position as of March 30. Cavanaugh said he has sold his home and will be moving his family to the Ann Arbor area.

Tecumseh Youth Theater will bring the hit comedy “The Wedding Singer” to the stage at the Tecumseh Center for the Arts this weekend on Friday and Saturday starting at 7:30 p.m. with a Sunday matinee at 3 p.m. Tickets are $12.
