A parent’s most treasured role is taking care of their child. Victor and Anne Burpee of Tecumseh have experienced that role more intensely since their son Vann, a sixth-grade student at Tecumseh Middle School, was diagnosed with an inoperable malignant brain tumor.

Almost a decade after students planned an outdoor art gallery and performance space outside of the art classrooms at Tecumseh High School, completion of the THS Sculpture Garden is in its final stages, with terraced seating tiers and landscaping finished this week by F & S Landscape.

The Tecumseh City Council voted 5-2 on Monday to approve an ordinance that will allow archery hunting of white-tailed deer in city limits on private property that is five acres or larger.
