The Tecumseh Baseball Team opened its season on Tuesday, March 26 at Adrian College with a doubleheader against Onsted. They skunked the Wildcats in both games.

The Britton Deerfield Baseball Team opened its season on Monday, March 25 in dominating form, blasting home team North Adams in a doubleheader, 19-0 and 16-0.

Tecumseh Public Schools Athletic Director Jon Zajac introduced several winter sports teams at the board of education meeting on Monday, March 11. He also announced Southeastern Conference (SEC) award winners. Overall, 133 students participated in winter sports.

Basketball Team took on Southeastern Conference rival Chelsea during district play at Onsted on Wednesday, March 6. For the third time this season Tecumseh couldn’t find the key to victory, losing to the Bulldogs, 26-21.

Six Tecumseh wrestlers made it to the Michigan High School Athletic Association individual championships on Friday and Saturday, March 1 and 2. One grappler came home as state champion while two others medaled.

While the Tecumseh bowling teams didn’t win the state championship, no school produced more hardware during the Michigan High School Athletic Association D2 tournament in Waterford last weekend.

The Tecumseh Wrestling Team will be making its third straight appearance as one of the Division 2 elite eight teams to compete at the quarterfinals in Kalamazoo on Friday. Six individuals will head to Ford Field to compete for the individual state championship title.
