ALPHA E. FRANKLIN
Alpha E. Franklin, 95, of Tecumseh, passed away February 24, 2008. She was born October 25, 1912, in Letcher Co., KY, the daughter of Stephen & Ollie (Franklin) Blair. She married Elza Franklin in Kentucky and he preceded her in death in 1992.
She is survived by her children; Van Dale Franklin of Detroit, Louella (Frank) Rose of Dayton, OH, and Loretta (Graby) Miller of Tecumseh;11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Elza, she was preceded in death by her parents, her son Carl D. Franklin, four bothers, Clifford, Arnold, Woodford, and Estil Blair.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, February 29, 2008, at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, with Pastor David King officiating. Burial will follow in Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens, Tecumseh. Visitation will be on Thursday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian.
