Angelina “Angie” Herrera
Angelina “Angie” Herrera, age 84, of Tecumseh, Mich., passed away December 1, 2015.
She was born October 20, 1931 in Laredo, Texas, the daughter of Eulalio and Julia (Gomez) Pizaña, Sr.
On May 4, 1952 she married Salome Herrera and he survives.
Angie was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Tecumseh were she was a Cursillista.
In addition to her husband, Salome, Angie is survived by four daughters, Stella Davis of Plano, Texas, Consuelo “Conky” (Stephen) Quigley of Tecumseh, Lina (Steven) Downing of Tecumseh, and April Herrera of Tecumseh; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Deacon Eulalio “Ray” (Grace) Pizaña of Brooklyn, Mich.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Feliz Florez; and sister-in-law, Pauline Pizaña.
Funeral Mass will be held 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Tecumseh, Mich., with Rev. Fr. Daniel Wheeler presiding. Burial will follow in Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens, Tecumseh.
Visitation will be on Friday, December. 4, 2015, from 4-8 p.m. at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh, Mich., and one hour prior to funeral mass at the church on Saturday.
A Rosary and sharing of memories will be held on Friday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home, with Deacon Ray Pizaña officiating.
