Austin J. Lee

Austin Joseph Lee, age 39, of Wixom, Mich., passed away unexpectedly on February 18, 2024. He was born on August 9, 1984, in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Austin was the cherished son of Lori Lee and the late Brian Lee. He was also a loyal brother to Brianne Lee and a doting uncle to his nephew, Jack Woodward. Austin also leaves behind his beloved dog, Bee.

His innate desire to help others, even in the face of his own challenges, stood out to all who knew him. He approached life with an open heart and a willingness to lend a hand wherever it was needed.

As an uncle, Austin’s face would light up whenever he was with his nephew, Jack. They shared countless adventures, from visits to the reptile house to lessons on fixing things with tools and going fishing. Austin’s love for Jack was strong, and their bond will forever hold a special place in Jack and Brianne’s heart.

Austin is survived by his loving mother, Lori Lee; sister, Brianne Lee; nephew, Jack Woodward; and a host of extended family and friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his father, Brian Lee.

A funeral service to honor Austin’s life will be held on Saturday, March 2, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Fr. Bob Pienta officiating at Purse Martinez Funeral Home, 210 W. Pottawatamie St., Tecumseh, Mich., 49286. 

Visitation will also be on Saturday, March 2 at Purse Martinez Funeral Home, Tecumseh, beginning at 11 a.m. 

Following the service, a Celebration of Life will be held at the Tecumseh American Legion, 101 W. Pottawatamie St., Tecumseh, Mich., 49286.
